About Dr. David Mitchell
Dr. David Mitchell is a multi-faceted music composer who has written for large and small ensemble live performances, as well as original compositions for films, games and promotional ads and corporate videos.
In addition to creating original scores to fit individual needs, his compositions are available for use in live performance, film and television, gaming and corporate or promotional advertising.
His works are performed all over the world and he has been honored by the Olin Parker Composition Competition, Southeastern Composers League Phillip Slate Composition Competition and The Contemporary Chamber Ensemble Composition Competition. He is a regular presenter at the College Music Society Southeast and National conferences and his works and articles have been published in a variety of music and education journals.
A composer and educator in Atlanta, Georgia, Mitchell holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Music Composition and Theory; Master of Music Composition and a Bachelor Degree in Guitar Performance, all from the University of Georgia.
